Elastic Search Backup & Restore

Hello Everyone,

I need a suggestion/advise on elastic search. How to take elastic search folder backup and restore in case if corrupted.

Recently we implemented elastic in our organization and having issues in few environments, some times elastic search folder getting corrupted in some lower environments, luckily not in production yet. so we worried and looking for best solution to backup & restore. We using AIX/WebSphere/DB2 for our implementation.

Check the search landing page, what is the folder configured for index file storage. Take copy of the folder condent.

While this can work I would like to add that should you do this, the indexes will NOT contain any new / updated data since the time the backup was taken. Those work objects would need to be re-saved or a complete re-index would need to be done for them to start appearing in search results.
