ECS extending to get access to two different Solution Framework

Kindly follow the problem statement and share some solutions
Problem Statement:
1 . I am having existing ECS ( Enterprise Class Structure) on Core PRPC .
2. new two different solution framework would be implemented. e.x. CPM and S.I framework.
3. MY existing ECS need to be extended in a way that it can access rules from both framework layer i.e. S.I and CPM

If you are on Pega 7.2, it should be straight forward by using multi-application built on feature. Otherwise if you want to use particular rules of one framework , add it as application rulesets. But if there is a requirement to use classes, then one of these (SI ) framework has to be built on other (CPM).
Please share if there is any better way to achieve this.

From Pega 7.2 onwards , By leveraging "Multiple Built on feature" Pega application can inherit from different applications in the order we need.

Prior to Pega 7.2 ,
Organzation pega application needs to built on one solution framework ( ex: SI) and SI will be configured to built on CPM.
You will create appropriate case types , data classes in ECS which directly inherit from built on solution framework application classes.
for ex:
1. ECS class "ABC-NA-Work-Interaction-Call" directly inherits from "PegaCA-Work-Interaction-Call" from CPM framework.
similarly ,
2. ECS class "ABC-NA-Work-SWIFT-Investigate" directly inherits from "PegaSI-Work-SWIFT-Investigate" from SI framework.

You will need to have two another Framework layers for SI ,CPM ( Yellow box)
