E Form Accelerator
Though i upload a valid PDF file in the E Form accelerator, i end up creating only the Rule-File-EForm rule and not the Rule-Map-EForm rule. Am i missing something? Is there any restriction on the kind of pdf file that i am supposed to use in the accelerator? If so, can someone please attach a sample pdf file that i can use in the accelerator which will create both the rule instances?

Update:
I was able to trace the problem and narrow it down.
java.util.List fieldList = tools.getEFormUtils().getEFormFieldList(new PRInputStream(dataFile));
This piece of code in the Activity - PopulateFileRule which gets called in the WizardScreenFlow flow is returning 0 items in the list object. when looking into the Engine API for the documentation of getEFormFieldList(InputStream) method , i get
java.util.List getEFormFieldList(java.io.InputStream aEFormInputStream)
I am still confused on why the method is returning nothing. Should the pdf that i upload follow certain conventions?
Note: I used the Web-Login HTML rule as the HTML stream to create a PDF file which i used in the eForm accelerator.

Hi Ratan,
The issue might be that the template you used in the accelerator might not have any interactive fields. So only the Rule-File-EForm instace is created. You have mentioned that you have converted the Web-Login HTML into PDF. In the converted pdf file are you seeing any editable input fields when you open the pdf file using any pdf viewer? If not then it means that it does not have any interactive field so Rule-Map-EForm will not be generated.

That solved most the issue. But can you tell me how to create such interactive fields? I did find few websites offering this service. Is that the right way of doing it?

Hi,
You can create editable PDFs using Acrobat DC (https://acrobat.adobe.com/in/en/acrobat/how-to/create-fillable-pdf-forms-creator.html) but there is a licensing cost involved. I don't think that you can create an editable pdf in Pega. If you need editable PDFs for POC purpose then search in the web for some sample editable PDFs and use that in the wizard.
