dynamic fields
Hello,
I have a requirement where there would be different fields for each client in a certain class. so I was thinking instead of having a proerty for each field to have something in the database "X table" containing the following columns: Field Label , Field value, Field Dataytype, Client ID and to add the new fields as rows in the table. My question goes as follows how to implement this from Pega? like how to implement a section that would read the field's information as a row and to validate according to the datatype? Is it possible to do so in Pega?

Hi Ghina,
Let me know if my understanding is right.
You have certain columns in DB. You want to populate the feilds in UI without actually associating a property to a control. But the fields should be displayed as is once added in Db.

Something like the dynamic grid ?
If you give the ReportDefinition as a source and select this Create grid Dynamically option, then you don't need to configure the columns manually in repeat grid.
Grid automatically displays all the coulmns present in the reportdefinition.
If that is the case, Search for Virtual RD Grid in UI Gallery. You would see a very nice implementation of this feature.

So you mean, based on certain id/property you want to display the fields ? If that is the case i guess you have to use when rule for it.
