Dynamic configuration for max records in report definition
Hi,
I wanted to know how we can achieve this that we want to change the maximum number of records to retrieve for each environment for a specific report
I understand that we can do it in Application Settings pyMaxRecords in our own RSV
But it will work for all reports, How can we achieve this for a specific report ?
Is there any way possible ?
( Also, for this do we need to keep max number of rows to retrieve as blank and paging in RD disabled)

Here I want to ask Is activity the only method to call RD and change the Max Records to retrieve in each environment ?
I wanted to understand can it be achieved if Report Definition is called directly in Ui ?
I have read this accepted answer. My query here is Is this the only solution we have ?
So, here in activity we can pass Report Name and No of Records to retrieve as Parameter and run in each environment.
Also, I would like to know how it can be done in Report Browser ?

Hi,
I dont think there is any easy wayt of doing it. Only way I can think of is, create one activity which would be responsible for getting the records from the report.
Now in that activity, open the report defination by obj-Open and then set the property which do store the number of records to retrieve(Reportpage.pyUI.pyMaxRecords).
Now Call Rule-Obj-Report-Definition.pxRetrieveReportData and pass the report page as parameter of the activity. It should work.
