The checkbox to manage the learning cycle lets PRPC keep track of the inputs to Adaptive models and all strategy results at the time of the decision. When at a later point of time a response is handled ("retrieve previous inputs"), this can be associated with the actual values of the predictors at decision time to send to Adaptive Decisioning.
The value represents the duration for which these inputs will be kept. A value of 0 means forever.

In later versions of the product we have changed the labeling of these configuration options to be - hopefully - a bit clearer:

In that case you will not be able to associate this response data with a decision. Often, response strategies are used specifically to train Adaptive models, so if the data has expired, it simply means you won't be able to refine your adaptive models when the decision - response time frame is too large.
