Drill down option for chart control.
We have a requirement to show a Pie Chart in Dashboard, and user will get the drill down data in report format once clicked on a wedge. However I could not find how to do it using Chart control using report definition as a data source in Pega7.4 version.
I found below post in PDN addressing similar issue, But my pega varsion is pega 7.4. So, I would like to know if there is any fix provided in 7.4 version or should I install same hotfix ?

let me know if config in file helps. control "chart" will provide all features available in chart of report browser.

There are two ways you can do it.
1. if you want configure in section. Use "Chart" control on field. It is different than pxChart control. "chart" control is used by ootb in report browser.
2. Other way is to make use of "Report widget" in ootb dashboard.
I would suggest option 2. Both of these options allow drill down.

Thanks for the response. Can you please clarify below request.
I haven't found any chart control other than the control in the advanced controls. We have configured 6 charts to display in a section using that and the source of the data is clipboard page.
And we are loading that data by clicking on a button called "Generate Dashboard" (attached screenshot). And the requirenent is to if we have 3 wedges W1, W2, W3 on the chart and if user selects only W2, then popup should show only data for W2.
Is this possible using the chart control you mentioned in the above post ? if so could you please me to find out that control ?

I think to show the Data for that particular chart, you might need to have each chart in separate Dynamic layout and configure the action set on the Dynamic layout to run a report of launch local action.

Thanks for the response.
I did tried that, But the requirement not to launch and show the entire data in that chart. the requirement is when user clicks on a specific wedges on the chart we have to filter data specific to that widget and show that data in the pop up report.

Could you please explain the above respective wedge controlled report drill down in pega 8.3? The doc attached by you just shows the control configuration.
Can we avoid this Hotfix solution mentioned here?
