I have researched about it and ideally, this should work but couldn't guess the root cause why isn't working for you without fiddler or tracer event report(Could you share?)

Try using window.alert("Test"); as suggested by my colleague. Also, exploit the option mentioned in this link( https://www.cssscript.com/demo/beautiful-native-javascript-alert-replacement-sweet-alert/). I am able to stimulate the pop up in the Chrome Developer tool for iPhone 7(Refer below).

Have you done any debugging to see if this issue is isolated to the alert? In other words, can you run some sanity checks to ensure JS in general is enabled and executing properly in this context?
