Delete Rule cache before upgrading Pega

Hi,

I am planning to upgrade from Pega 7.2 to Pega 8.4. Before I run the upgrade script, should I use the SMA to flush the rule cache in the DB and in the server first? Then I will shutdown Pega and apply the upgrade script, start the app and deploy the new version of the application.

Hello,

I just did 7.3.1 to 8.4.2 and it went fine without clearing the cache.

PEGA takes care of this.

I yet cleared all which was in pegatemp dir but It's not mandatory activity.
