Default admin account use
Hi ,
Can you please advise on Admin account that gets created while doing Pega Install? ([email protected])
1. What is the use for this account apart from initial Set up that we do post deployment to configure application.
2. Can this accounts be used to delete the rulesset or modify any existing ruleset.
3. Where is password stored for this account. Is it encrypted?
4. Can we disable this account and then enable it when needed?

Are all operators along with Admin acocunts stored in Pega Database ?
Is there a way to disable this account and then enable it as needed ?
Hi Sunil,
1. What is the use for this account apart from initial Set up that we do post deployment to configure application.
There are different roles assigned only to this user.Not to other users:
There are several roles assigned only to administrator not to other users such as SysAdmin4 role. Without this you can not perform various actions such as purge , delete rulesets etc.
2. Can this accounts be used to delete the rulesset or modify any existing ruleset.
You can see that SysAdm4 role is assigned to this user.
3. Where is password stored for this account. Is it encrypted?
Yeah it shud be. Not sure how.

Yeah it shud be. Not sure how.
You can change the password by following the below:
1. Login as [email protected]
2. Select Profile from the drop-down next to the operator name to view the Operator Profile
3. Select the Change Password button
4. Enter the password information and click Save
