Decode barcode from Phone Library

For one of my usecase, I would like to be able to either scan a BarCode directly or be able to pick an image from phone library and decode the barcode from the image in Pega. Is there any API which would support this?

specifically how we can integrate Google ZXing on Pega and OCR capabilities?
