Date Issue
Hi All,
When I am trying to update a date field in Oracle database, I am using the function CurrentDateStamp() and formatting the date value with FormatDateTime with the default time zone as Australia/sydney..
the value in the clipboard is Date but in the database it is being updated with a time stamp as 10:00:00
Can anyone of you help me in removing the time zone , and update just the date in the database( so that my time stamp is always 00:00:00).
the property type is of date in pega.

What is this property intending to actually store, a DateTime or a Date only?
In later releases of the Pega product, if you create a Date property and optimize it (hence generating a database column) then this will actually create a varchar2(8) column.
So if you're only intending to store a date (without time), you may want to consider doing the same and using the format YYYYMMDD

If your application server is running on GMT, if you try to save the date 26092016, it will convert your time zone accoding to application server time zone and save it in to the date time property in the data base.
Some times you will see that the day will also change depending on the conversion. Better to change the database property.
If you badly need to change the timestamp, on saving the data to table, explicitly you need to override the value.
