Before Data Transform comes which method get introduced in Pega

And What is difference between DataFlow and DataTransform.Can you anyone explain reason?

Hello, 

Before DataTransform we were mainly using Property-Set method on activities. A DataTransform is just a rule to manipulate properties and clipboard pages. 

DataFlow is more about moving data through a specific process.
