Data Propagation to multiple subcases
Hi,
I am trying to create multiple subcases from a parent case using OOTB create case utility.
While the multiple cases are created, I need the current context of page list to be populated to the sub case. There is a page in the subcase mapping to the same class as the page list of parent case. I would like to populate the current page of pagelist to the subcase page.
I tried two approaches
1. Check 'Copy Page Data to the New Subcase' option. But it shows an error during run time because the source of page list provided is in data class and it is expecting work class.
2. Using a Data Transform with a step to copy 'Primary' page to the sub case page. But it does not work.
During run time, it seems that the context of sub case creation is work page of parent and not the list provided.
Can any one help me out with this issue?

Hi Sushanth,
1.You can get the Context of the PageList using the Source Page Parameter name(Ex:give as Context)(Smart Shape Create Case Properties)
2.Create a Datatransform and set the Parameter Value(Param.Context) in the TempProperty(Primary.pyTempText)
3.So now the context of the pagelist is stored in Primary.pyTempText(Ex:WP.account(1))
4.Get the index from the Property and can copy the data from the cover page to child.

1. Get the Index values of "(" and ")" from page name.
2. Get the substring value passing the indexes captured above which is the index value.

Overwrite pyAddChildWorkDefaults,
@baseclass data Transfer to copy property. There is a Child page parameter using this page work object will create. add the properties from primary page to child case page(Child page) of pyAddChildWorkDefaults, Primary page is your Page List page.

Achieving this is actually much simpler. In the examples used in this thread, the Context parameter actually contains a reference to a clipboard page which you can simply use as such.
Just define the Context parameter on the Pages & Classes tab of the data transform with the correct class and just use Context as any other page in your data transform. It refers to the specific page from the list you create your child cases from.
