Customization of the OOTB calendar instance
We had a requirement that needs to be customize the OOTB calendar instance. And those rules are final rules.
Suppose on 9th Feb-17 there are 3 cases has been reached the goal time then these 3 cases will be shown on 9th Feb-17 date with orange color (goal time) within a small circle. Please refer the screenshot attached.

If user mouse over the the circle then a smart info will shown with case ID and Name of the flow. Please do let us know whether its a good practice to modify final rules? Even we modify them into our rule set will the functionality will work as like OOTB?

Hi,
It is not a good practice to modify final rules.
You can however create your own control but it is not guaranteed that all the features will be present.
Also if there are any fixes to the OOTB rules, they will not be applicable on the custom control.
It would be advisable to use OOTB rules as far as possible.
