Calendar Control Customization

Hi,

I have a requirement regarding DateTime control as follows. Please let us know how we should address this.

  • User should be able to specify(input) only Year and Month. (e.g. 2019 and 04(Apr))
  • Datepicker like UI control is preferable.
  • The actual stored data should be "Date" type so "01" would be attached to specified yyyyMM. (e.g. "20190401")
  • The property would be used as Account settlement month, booking month, Billing month.
  • The users attention is Year and Month but the data itself should have calendar nature from application point of view. The property should be used for any calendar based date control.

Hello,

Customizing OOTB Calendar control to address this change will be bit difficult. You can think of having separate drop downs for month and year with source as data page. 

And then, have a data transform which will do the necessary modification by appending the number 01 to make it work like the yyyyMMdd
