Custom Skin style for Labels ignoring style attribute

I have a custom style in the skin for Controls > Labels where I'm trying to set the attribute for padding in the Additional styles. The padding is completely ignored but other attributes are honored. What is going on and how do I add padding to a Label style?

Need to check in the developer tools for it . Some other styles might be overriding it.

could you mention padding:5px !important; (i.e important keyword ) So that it will take the higher precedence.
