Custom button in HTML.

we have configured a custom button in html. on click of the button we are calling a function. the function is being called and also "Finishassignment" activity is being called and closes the workobject as well.

Can any one help why "finishassignment" acitvity is being called on click of custom button?

the above article has resolved the issue.

use of '<input type="button">' tag over the <button> tag had resolved the issue. but still has an question why button tag in custom html calling finish assignment activity.

Can any one justify it.
