CSA Essentials Course - Final Solution Build
Hi Team,
I am new to Pega and I am experiencing difficulty in completing the final solution build even though I completed the course material and all the exercises. I feel that there are a lot of things which weren't covered in the course but are expected in the final solution build. Is there any place where I can find the step by step solution to the Final Exercise - SAE 8 Solution Build ?. Thanks.

Why not ? It is a pity, I am using machine virtual, and after finishing this course I noticed I cannot complete the last exercise by lack of knowledge, I am not be able even to go on after first point and I am getting really frustrated

I agree the final build exercise wasn't easy but it does provide business requirements in the form of user stories (which is easy to follow) and even a technical approach (which in the real world, you won't actually get in a project).
It took me longer than the (recommended) 6 hours to complete this exercise as I got stuck on one of the user stories and made a mistake which resulted in me having to restart the whole build (at that point it was easier to restart). However after more than 6 hours later, I can say that I completed it without having the final step by step solution build available for me to look when I got stuck. Instead, I utilised the following resources:

- Went back to the System Architect course to re-read and better understand certain topic(s)
- Second attempt at reading and understanding the requirement and the technical approach provided
- Search the Pega Academy community to see if anyone else experienced the same problem and better understand how they tackled/overcame the problem to proceed forward with the rest of the build
- Lastly, contacted Pega Academy via email ([email protected]) where I outlined my problem, the steps I took and provided screenshots - posting this in the community forum is another avenue for you to seek assistance from your peers
My only advice to those attempting to complete this final exercise build is to utilise the resources available to you to better understand what has been asked in the exercise. I think it's better to learn from your mistakes (and also understand the Pega course) than learn from a step by step solution readily available for you to access.
@watac - would you know if there are anything in the works on Pega's end to provide more project like work (whether real life projects vs. study like projects like the SAE 8 Exercise Solution build) for those wanting to continually learn and build and get more exposure and experience?
