Create Case(s) Utility - How to know current index of list
Steps:
1. Inside a flow, add Smart Shapes > Create Case(s)
2. Double click Create Cases(s) box
3. Under Automation details select Create multiple child cases
4. For each item in list: <put your page list. e.g. .DivisionList>
Case Type: <put case type>
Starting process: <put starting process>
Data transform: <put data transform to update date on created child cases>
5. Inside Data transform, when we refer to :
* "Primary" - it indicates the current child case created
* Question: inside data transform, how can we refer to the current lndex of list iterated? (see "For each item in list: <put your page list. e.g. .DivisionList>")

Normally if you are itterating though a page list you can use the .pxListSubscript standard property which has the current index. However, in this case it dosn't seem to be quite so easy.
I traced the process as suggested above and noticed that the only place I could see the current index was the last character in the step page name as shown in my trace of the data transform.
So you could use this by using a function like this to get that last character:
@substring(@pxGetStepPageReference(),@length(@pxGetStepPageReference())-1,@length(@pxGetStepPageReference()))
I tested by setting the pyLabel of my subcases using this syntax and it seems to work:
At runtime after my sub cases are created:

Hello,
Have you tried the parameter called "pyForEachCount" ? It might be available, I'm not sure, the best would be to trace the event in order to check if the index is available within a parameter.
I would try that anyway.

Do you mean the step page of the data transform is the pagelist page, but still there is no pxListSubscript property ?

hi, thanks. i noticed that too and this can be a solution for now.
i'm using pega 7.1.9, what pega version are you using? not sure if in the newer versions there's a property to reference the current index.

I mean that if I use the pxListSubScript property in the data transform referenced in the create cases smart shape then it dosn't seem to work. I am not sure that this is an itteration in the same was as if you did a "for each embedded page" type configuration in an activity / DT.
