Count of Combination of Grouped Columns
Hi All,
In Report Definition, how can we can get the count of grouped columns.
lets say there are 4 columns - Month,a,b and c.
How can i get the count of each combination of column a, b and c like shown in the table below:
| Month | A | B | C | Count |
| July | Transport | Road | Car | 5 |
| July | Transport | Air | Plane | 3 |
| August | Transport | Road | Car | 3 |
| August | Travel | Road | Bus | 2 |

1.Create Report Definition with Count aggregate method
2. Call the report definition from Datapage
3. Connect data page with UI table, only summary column property is different - .pySummaryCount(1), remaining are direct mapping.

Hi,
Thank you very much. I tried the above approach but the count I get is exceptionally high and doesnt matches with the data in the database.
Count in n the database is less than 100, however I am getting results in thousands and lakhs.
Please let me know if I am missing something, any configuration in Report Definition?

Hi Abhishek,
1. Trace the report definition query from the tracer and validate how the query is formed, run the query from your sql developer
2. I do see you are using function getmonthsfromdate, is it works fine?
3. Just to identify the root cause, remove the function getmonthsfromdate column, add aggregate method in some other column and validate it

Please find my answers below:
1. Will try this.
2. Yes, it works fine. It is created to get month's name (as in "January" from Date 01-01-2020)
3. Tried this but still got exceptional count.
