Converting decision rules to strategies while upgrading headless decisioning application in 5.5 to 7.2.2

Hi, current application is in 5.5 and is a headless application where Pega is used mostly for decision management, which is implemented by decision tables and trees. Now Client wants to upgrade to 7.2.2 and leverage Pega OOTB Decision Strategy Manager for 7.2. What should be the procedure to convert the decision rules to strategies? Is it possible to plan upfront effort/steps that would be needed to create the solution using DSM now?

In DSM also we use decision table and decision tree. I dont think we really have any replacement of these rule type in DSM. What you might think of doing is having strategy to run the decision tables and trees sequentially. In decision strategy we can call trees and tables.
