Connecting Pega and Hotjar
Has anybody ever managed to connect Pega and hotjar?
We are trying to, however hotjar needs to be able to read the css files in order to render the pages correctly and we are struggling to do this.
If anybody has managed to get it working can then please let us know how.

Hi Matt, I tried hotjar with pega personal edition v731, I am able to successfully connect. I tried recording and survey.
Let us know exactly what issue you are facing.
Steps
1. Created Hotjar trial account
2. Copied Hotjar script and placed in pyMetaTags HTML Fragment
3. Verified placed script available in portal head section
4. Verified script called during portal load
5. Created Hotjar survey and survey activated, it shows in pega portal
6. Enabled recording in Hotjar portal, recorded pega screen shows in Hotjar video player

We have set it up the same way but for us it only works if we have both Hotjar and Pega open in the same browser. If the user only uses Pega then Hotjar cannot get the css files. Are you able to test this scenario from your end?
I've attached a screenshot that shows the issue.

Hi Matt, I tried in different browser too, for me it is working.
The only difference is your machine is cloud and mine is running in localhost.
Stack overflow description for hotjar video recording
HTML content and DOM changes get pumped through a websocket and stored by Hotjar (minus sensitive information such as form inputs from the user, unless you've whitelisted them), the CSS isn't stored (it gets loaded by you when you watch the recording).
Check below items
1. So based on the above point, make sure your cloud machine is up to get required CSS during hotjar video play
2. Check do you have any CSRF restriction in pega DSS - https://community.pega.com/knowledgebase/articles/security/configuring-csrf-protection
My machine doesn't have any CSRF settings
If CSRF is enabled on your machine, add hot jar urls under security/csrf/validreferers and restart the machine
3. Check do you have any ip restriction in your cloud machine, if yes, do whitelisting for hotjar ips - https://help.hotjar.com/hc/en-us/articles/115011822728-Troubleshooting-FAQs-for-Recordings#FAQ_4

Hey John
For now we have decided to move ahead and set up the forms and the heatmaps. While setting up the forms in hotjar when we specify the URL for the our application, hotjar is unable to identify the form.
Were you able to set up forms and generate the heat maps?
