Connect java

We have an external java system with version 1.8.0. which need to be integrated with Pega PRPC 7.1.8 which has java version 1.6.0. Using connect java we r facing issues as the class structure compatibility is missing. Plz suggest how to address tis issue.

what application server platform are you running? 7.1.8 does support Oracle JDK 1.8 for certain platforms:https://collaborate.pega.com/discussion/prpc-5x-6x-platform-support-guide-easy-find. For example, if you are running tomcat/jboss eap 6.3.3+, you can simply upgrade your jdk to 1.8.

Hello Kevin,

We are have Application Server - Websphere. I read the Pega 7 Platform Support Guide version 7.2 and Pega 7 Platform Installation Guide 7.2 Database Oracle Application Server Websphere. I really do not understand if we can adopt ur suggestion. If yes, please ellaborate steps.
