i installed Oracle's VM Virtual box
and trying to test connect rest and ran the wizard which has created the necessary rule but when trying to test connection its throwing an error
com.pega.pegarules.pub.services.ConnectorException: Caught unhandled exception: java.net.UnknownHostException: autocomplete.wunderground.com: unknown error
so when checked in the VM the VM was unable to connect to internet via Bridge network tried with ping google.com in unbuntu 64 (cent OS 6.7)

If I am reading this correctly, you are saying that you are having general internet connectivity issues from within your VM on VirtualBox, and not a Pega-specific issue.
Have you consulted the help sites for VirtualBox?

I think it might be from pega also becoz the image or the virtual machine what we download and its document says that this is configured with host only.Below is the attachment which is from pega marketing c 721 student guide file(Marketing_Exercise_System_Guide_721.pdf)

Right. Host-only, so your VM can only talk to the host it is running on.
The Weather Underground service you are trying to reach is not your host, so you cannot reach it.
You need to reconfigure the VM.
