Communication Exchange mechanism using Pega platform
In an application, there are both external and internal users. The requirement is to provide a 2-way rich text communication mechanism between internal and external users, using a secure channel, while also being able to attach and send documents, images, pdfs etc. as part of the communications. Can this be achieved using Pega platform only (without using Pega Chat from Customer Service?)

You may use pulse to communicate with Pega application users. It allows file sharing, rich text experience and secure. It also provide ability to have back and forth dialogue.

I understand pulse may be used for communication between internal users. How about a communication between Pega user and a external, non-Pega user? @AmlanPatra You can use Slack then you can use the Slack integration from the Pega marketplace. https://community.pega.com/marketplace/integrations/slack-integration?
If you want to use other messaging tools then you can use a digital messaging service to do the following.
Pulse is currently the only mechanism within Pega to provide communication as OOTB.

@AmlanPatra You may want to explore websockets, Pega has inbuilt library. And to build chat kind of app, you can use something like socket.io
