CMIS Provider setting in CMIS connector configuration

Hi All,

1- Does anyone know what the effect (apart from chaning the pre configured uri) of the CMIS provider setting on the CMIS connector configuration is? See attached screenshot.

2- Does it have effect on which CMIS services it supports? Some of the available selection values are marked [Experimental], 
what does that mean in this context?
