Client side validation is not working

I have a property referenced in a textInput control inside a section, the property has an edit validate rule and a constraint rule set on it.

Both the flow action and harness that contain the section has client side validation checked.

Now when i enter an invalid value(a value that does not satisfies either edit validate or constraint rule) for that property and move the focus away from it, the error message is not appearing, instead it appears only when i submit the form.

please let me know if missed anything.

Hi Dilip,

Edit validate rule belongs to a server side validation and so it will do the validation only after clicking on submit button.But, many standard edit validate rules are emulated by an equivalent JavaScript function that can be run on the client side.

However, Constraint rule will be using forward chaining and the system evaluates constraints automatically each time a property identified in a constraints rule is changed.
