Classic Rich text editor removing <pd4ml:footnote> when saved.
Since recently behaviour of the Classic Rich Text Editor seems to have changed. The rich text editor has been implemented on our project in a certain section already since early 2021. We use pd4ml footnotes in our costum created pdf's. The issue we are now facing is that since recently without any change on our side that saving/submitting the text (usually pre filled with on the clipboard the tags visible) results in removing the pd4ml tags. Other html tags remain present.
A quick solution from our side is that we changed from Iframe to <div>, in other words the change from Classic to lightweight. But this ofcourse results in the loss of certain functionality within the editor itself. Its this a known issue?

@OlafHoogenboom It seems that the issue you are facing might be related to the introduction of DOMPurifier filters for security in Pega Platform 8.5 and later releases.
These filters can cause certain tags to be removed or modified, which might be affecting the pd4ml tags in your case. Switching to the Lightweight Rich Text Editor can be a workaround, but as you mentioned, it may result in the loss of some functionality. To address this issue, you can consider disabling the DOMPurifier filter in the HTML fragment for UserWorkForm or modifying the filter to allow specific custom tags.
