Chart control configuration - background and fonts
Hello everyone!
We have a chart on our portal. The source for this chart is a report definition. Sometimes this chart looks like this
Values are white, background is light grey, so it is difficult to see these values.
What is the way to:
1. Change chart background. There is no such thing in chart control configuration, except Threshold regions, filling which is not a good idea.

Hi.
Thanks everyone for help. I found the solution to change color of this values
in fusioncharts.js find string "fill:h.color" and replace it with "fill:"<color id ("#000000")>"
should be like that:
fill:"#000000"

When the dialog box launches, there is no value specified in the Background color field.
Enter the hex value.
4. Save the report definition rule, and observe the changes.

We use 7.1.8.
Thanks you for your detailed answer. But we have another situation - chart is not configured in report definition.
A chart control is added to a section, and this report definition is configured as a source + aggregation function also configured here.
And there is no color options for background here.
We can't configure chart in report definition because there are several charts on the section, all of them have this report definition as a source and only one is visible at a time.

Hi Ilya,
Thank you for clarifying the use case.
In the chart's properties, please traverse to the Presentation tab, and scroll down to Column colors fragment.
Here, you can customize the chart's columns or labels as per your requirements.

I am also facing similar situation, in 7.1.9.
Looks like limitation of Chart Control.
1. Not able to specify default colors - need to meet the organizational standards regarding colors to be displayed.
2. Not able to change the colors used by the pie chart. I can't change color based on values as the values are dynamic.
3. Not able to change the values displayed on column chart - they are always displayed in white color. If the value is "1" then it merges with background and not visible at all.
4. Not able to display the values within the wedges on pie chart - only options are to display outside..
5. When changing colors based on values, legend doesn't change and still displays the default colors.
I almost felt like "Chart" should be a component in Skin rule so that these things can be configured.
