change in property
I have a property with a number of prompt list in a locked ruleset. There is a need to change the prompt list, Some or all (some may need to be deleted, some needed to be updated and some needed to be updated). How do I handle it?

Another scenario is if we want to change the name for properties. still looking for an insight how to handle the change in the name of property.. ???
What do you mean by above question, you can't change the identifier of the existing rule short description can be modified. To change name you've create a new property and refer in the all referencing rules.

Save the property in higher Rules set version (RSV and delete/ update) accordingly the prompt values.

It's better to have the value sourced from data table so that you can modify only at backend without the property level interaction

Hi,
As per my knowledge, I dont think it is possible to update the same in a locked rule set.
I suggest using promt list in the property only for the values which are fixed and not required to be changed dynamically.
For a list to be changed/altered dynamically, you can instead make use of data pages to attain that functionality.

Thanks for the insights. What if property was created with a thouth that the promt list would not change but later things changed and needed to add or remove some prompt list?

You can unlock the ruleset and still go with add/deleting the prompt list and the same has to be promoted to higher ruleset ensuring no other higher versions for the same rule exists.
