Case Vs Process determination
Which are the traits of a process when we should consider converting the process into a sub case under a main case?

A case is a collection of processes. Generally, the make up of the case itself determines the relationship structure. As the case is reviewed in DCO sessions, the relationships and structure is determined. A few best practices:
A case shoudl not be larger than 7 plus or minus 2 Stages.
A process should have no more than 15 shapes.
However, it is really the needs of the business and than the functionslity desired that help to shape the case structure.

Thanks for the sharing the info Bill,
I understand the difference between case and process from technical perspective, my questions is more from functional perspective.
For example, in a Loan Application, Underwriting can be a module. Now what characteristics of Underwriting module can lead to Sub case implementation rather than creating a sub process?
Wanted to know when I think of implementing a process as sub case over implementing as sub flow.
