Casandra write operation failure in Production

Hello community,

 

We have a case failed in production since the write operation on casandra could not complete within threadhold as shown in below error

Cassandra interaction above threshold on <Server IP details>: query truncate data.bestobtreatment_2cb0e32ff4cb1e851e5f4ea9808eb0fd execution time was 60025ms and exceeded the threshold for single query (100ms).

 

According to PDN article the resolution is as below :

 

Increase the physical RAM on DDS nodes

Alternatively, reduce the heap size for all the JVMs in DDS node

 

Current env setup :

In the DDS nodes, 4 GB is allocated to PRPC. However using DSS settings, 24GB memory has been allocated to Cassandra. This was done as part of performance tuning activity, as per Pega’s recommendation.

 

Does anyone knows in numbers how much RAM should we increase further ?
