Im creating an application which involve creating a case at the start, i created a case step, added a child case type to the step. running this has no problems.

however, when a create another process on the same stage/ or create another stage, with added steps to obtain customer data, when i run the application now it skips the create a case step and go straight to the second process.

The stage setting where the create a case step is are to automatically move to next stage and the process setting is to always start.
