Can we setup a centralized AES for both JBOSS and WAS pega JVM's. Similarly can we setup a centralized SMA to add pega nodes running on both JBOSS and WAS

Hi,

 

I have a requirement where we are trying to centralize AES and SMA in production so that all the pega application (some of which are on JBOSS and some of which are on WAS) can be configured on these centralized AES and similarly we can centralize SMA and add all pega nodes running on both JBOSS and WAS.

Hi,

You can centralized SMA. Deploy SMA in centralized system and add all nodes related to JBOSS and WAS.

Not sure about AES. Let other's in forum respond.

Thanks Gangababu for your response. It seems we can't add nodes on SMA running on WAS with pega nodes running on JBOSS, though I am not 100% sure of it.

There are no restrictions on having the AES on one application server monitoring Pega deployed in a different application server.

AES uses SOAP, the monitored nodes send information to the AES server via a SOAP endpoint, so I do not see any issues if you have JBOSS and Websphere nodes being monitored.
