Can Pega launch a call from Mobile app?

Just like Pega mobile can access various mobile functionalities e.g. camera, can an icon provided in Pega app directly launch a phone call to a pre-defined number (SOS sort of call)?

One way to do this is to use a link control and set the URL to tel:#####.
