Can Pega ban some words
Hi,
My custom wants to ban some specific words in the application (like offensive words).
I'm not aware if a functionality like this exists in Pega Platform (I think no).
Do you know if Pega provides this functionality or do we specify an edit validate rule on each field in the application.

These are good questions. I did not find any Pulse options which could achieve what you are looking for straight OOTB.
So I think a custom solution is going to be necessary here. Both options you mentioned sound technically viable.
If you use a custom edit validate you could replace words you find inappropriate with other characters. Or if you want to put in a validation to prevent such a post, I think you could wrap the OOTB pzAddFeedPost activity call with your own activity which would not call pzAddFeedPost in the event an inappropriate post is attempted.
Just like with many things in Pega or development, there are many different ways to achieve a requirement with pros/cons for each approach.

Simple answer, no, I am not aware of any such OOTB feature. But depending on the actual context or concrete examples there could be features you could leverage depending on the use case.
For example, where are you looking to replace/scan/block/obscure/etc the actual text? From your brief description it sounds like you are targeting user input fields?

The requirement is to block the validation when user used these words.
I think make a custom validation for each user action to verify these words.
But we need to add this validation on pulse when user post a message and the action on post button of pulse seems to be complex.
Do you know if it's possible to make custom validation when user send a message on pulse ?
