Can multiple pega applications, pool the same set of bots?
Hi,
There is a requirement to utilize a set of robots among multiple pega instances.
E.g. There are 20 pega applications, but there are only 10 bot VMs.
Is there a way to achieve this?
(Any advice and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.)

The short answer is that this is not something you can do with the out-of-the-box functionality, but that it is possible if you have a Pega Platform LSA available.
You might get better strategies for how to utilize Pega resources across servers by tagging this with more than Robotics tags as this is a more broad topic than just Robotics. That being said, I have seen customers do this by creating Cases within the Robot Manager Pega instance that governs the bots from their source Pega Case. The parent cases in the source Pega application then monitor the status of the Robot Manager cases and react accordingly. There's no specific way to do this however, as Robots belong to a single workgroup in a single Pega Robot Manager instance. Anything you do would be custom, but I have seen it done before.
I'll let any LSAs weigh-in on how they might done this with specific steps in a Pega case.
