Can i know the importance of Assignment status and how is it used?is it mandatory to have both work and assignemnt status to be in sync?
We have a requirement that on click of a button we have to go to a alternate stage and update the case status to Resolved-Completed.I have achieved it by calling a harness
Target=Replace Current; Harness=Confirm;Activity=pxChangeStage;changeToNextStage=false;ChangeToStage=Resolution Case;CleanupProcesses=true ,
But when I go to my worklist in case manager I have the previous status only but not Resolved-Completed , I have seen the reference property as assignment status .Can I know the significance of this.
Does both work and assignment status need to be in sync ??

If it comes to your question, then I can answer yes - in our stages-driven approach, we need owner of each case and status of it. Both of them are updated at begin of every case.
At every step in application, we need someone to perform dedicated task (a current user, other specific user or work queue) and current status of it. We are able to control status assignment of each step in Designer Studio.
Did you tried already to set status in case management through "Set status" field?
In your case is necessary to use alternate stage instead of local action?
