bulk create case from excel

Is there a way to bulk create cases by uploading a spreadsheet? I've found the bulk create case features that are available with case manager but I don't see an option to import my data from a spreadsheet. I know that I can write something custom to do this but I'd rather not.

Thanks for the update.  Based on your response it looks like I need to craft my own solution based on the information in the link.    I was hoping for an OOTB feature with Case Manager.  Looks like the case management team stopped short of adding this feature.
