BIX Usage
We are planning to use BIX to extract data from our Pega database to external database.
We have the following questions. Request your support to provide answers for these.
1.Can BIX work on tables which don't have blob column?
2. Can BIX run on a read only database? (If we can configure to read from reporting database in our case, then much less load and risk on our primary database)
3. Does BIX acquire lock on the table during extraction job run? Can we continue read/write on database if BIX extraction agent is running?

1) BIX can be configured on data tables, so it should work for your requirements as well.
2) I believe Yes
3) Yes, you can continue to read/write on the database. We have BIX and users working in parallel without any issues. Please ensure the BIX is configured on the background processing nodes to minimize the impact for Production users.
