BIX Refresh of complete database records
Hi All,
We are planning for a BIX extract of all the database records in our production. The number of work items in the database is more than 400K.
Pega Product : Pega 6.3 SP1
The complete BIX refresh cannot be done overnight due to huge number of records. We are planning for phase by phase like (work items ending with "00", "01", "02"......) which might take more than 100 days to complete.
Please share your thoughts on this. Please let me know if anyone handled this complete BIX refresh in your application? If so please brief about how it is implemented.

Quick question: What is the output mechanism for your extract (CSV, XML or DB)?
If you look at the BIX user guide (performance section), XML extract is much faster than CSV and DB because there is no need to normalize the data.
Since you are extracting data based on work object IDs, can you run parallel extract jobs (via command line option of BIX)? That way the time could be reduced rather than doing them sequentially.
