Behaviour of default DSS
What is the behaviour of below security related DSS if they don't exist in the system ? Do they work with the default values assigned to them?

For the DSS settings if the article mentions any default value then this will be used if you have not overwritten it in your environment. We have set the default values from the backend code so usually they may not be found in the instances of DSS settings or the prconfig.xml file.
However, if you wish to update the values of these settings you can create them in your environment and update them as per your business requirement.

Though it's not available in DSS, I believe these changes should be available in your prconfig.xml to be effective,
