What is expected system behaviour if security related DSS does not exist?

Hi team,

We are on 8.6.3 version (not Pega Cloud) and we want to improve our security with major of these DSSs.

The question here could seem obvious but I didn't find exact explanation on how Pega operates if this kind of DSS just do not exist in the system (and for example in prconfig.xml file as well). I have two possible guesses here:

1. Setting is not applied

2. The default behaviour is applied

What is the right understanding here?
