Bar code generation in Pega
Hi All ,
I am generating PDF file by using HTMLTOPDF activity from a HTML rule(in HTML i am referring the section) and by using Code-Pega-PDF.View,i am downloading the PDF file.My requirement is to create a Barcode(EAN128) and attach in the same PDF file the which i was generating.could someone please help me in details steps and the java code which i need to use in the activity?

Hi,
Can we refer the dynamic bar code generated by Jar in the HTML rule? each time i run the activity i need to generate the bar code code dynamically.
i have followed the same path to create a instance of Data-Image-Content and trying to refer the newly image in the HTML rule.i saw new image is created in pega but when i refer the image in the HTML,it is still showing the previous image.i guess somewhere this previous image is store in the cache and refer when i run the activity to download the PDF.has anyone faced this type of issue while develop this?

Hi,
Install the libre font 30 for rendering the barcode directly from the property values.
1.Create a Folder in the server and place the ttf file in that folder(Let's Assume "Font" is the folder name).
2.Copy the directory path of the folder.
3.Before calling the HTMLtoPDF activity set the following parameters .
Param.pyPDFFontsDirectory=YourFontDirectoryPath eg: ("C:\ApacheTomcat\Font")
Param.pyPDFEmbedFont=true
Param.pyPDFPropsDirectory=YourFontDirectoryPath (same Path which is given in the pyPDFFontsDirectory).
Param.isClearCache=true
