Automation Recorder can only capture one step

I am attempting to use the Automation Recorder tool to create a test scenario by clicking through UI element, but as soon as I click the first action, any action after that is not recorded.

I have attached an image showing how the tool appears. At the time of screenshot I have clicked the RFI link, and then the tool window disappeared, I clicked to open it again, and it just shows the RFI step. Any further steps I perform make the tool disappear again, and when I open it, it still just shows the RFI step

any help would be greatly appreciated

Can you please confirm which version of Pega you are seeing this on? Also, can you confirm if you are using any specific Pega applications (CRM or otherwise)?
