Automation Grid Properties
In the process of fixing a clients bot, I have to untangle the automations. One of these automations was so large that it exceeded the grid size. I only noticed this because after reopening the automation, 95% of the design blocks where missing. I then learned that I could increase the grid size for that automation and that would prevent the loss of data. My question is a little open ended, but I was wondering what potential issues could be created by increasing the grid size for an automation? This question is mostly to help me identify if I need to allocate time to break up the automation into smaller automations or if I can leave it as is until after I get past my deadline.

The grid size is really just used to snap the "parts" into place. A smaller grid size leaves more places for things to snap to. I prefer a 10x10 grid size, but that really just allows me to line things up better. This won't really help you though if your automation is super cramped or full of items. I don't believe changing the value will change the automation at all until you move something. My suggestion would be to break it up into smaller automations as it sounds like it is far too large to be manageable as it is. You can probably copy and paste into new automations and untangle the steps as you create the new automation.
