Automated Unit testing in 7.1.9
Is Automated Unit testing for flows not supported in 7.1.9? We have a communication from Support Engineer that "Record and Play-back of test case for flow types is supported and tested till IE 9 browser. " Does that mean AUT is not supported for flows since IE 9 is no longer supported?

Hi,
Thank you for posting the query. The Record test case option for Flows is not supported in Pega 7.1.9. It will be available from Pega 7.3 GA. The IE version support is not specific to AUT. The IE versions supported by Pega Platform are applicable. Hope this answers your query.

Thank you Vijetha for your response. Are you talking about Automated Unit Testing / PegaUnit Testing? I am assuming you are talking about PegaUnit Testing since this was introduced in 7.2.2 . However my question is more on Automated Unit Testing which had the support for flows.
You are right that the IE version is based on platform support . However the communication from the support engineer mentions "Record and Play-back of test case for flow types is supported and tested till IE 9 browser." Does that mean it is no longer supported???

Hi Binod,
Here is the clarification for old automation framework AUT:
As we are developing new test framework, we are not supporting the old framework on new releases and/or new versions of browsers.
Old AUT is totally on non-auto generated UI. So, most of its features may not work in newer versions of Pega releases & other browser versions
However, to clarify further let me give you some examples:
If it is not working in IE10 but working in IE9, then we will not be supporting it as our UI capabilities have been aligned/tested for new versions but not the old AUT.
if it was working fine in IE9 in 7.1.8 but not working in same IE9 in 7.1.9, the support can be provided but if you are trying on IE10, the support would not be provided.
Also, as mentioned earlier, flows would be supported in the new framework in Pega 7.3 GA.

The new test framework PegaUnit is included from Pega 7.1.8 onwards with support for different rule types being added with the latest versions.
