Automate BIX Extract run inside PEGA ?

Is there a way we can automate the execution of BIX Extracts from within PEGA ? We have currently ETL jobs configured on shell scripts to invoke the extracts on PEGA.

Is there a way like agent/job that can be configured within PEGA to run these and update the target database tables?

What version of Pega are you on? I'd have to double check, but I think in 7.1.8 or 7.1.9 we introduced an activity 'pxExtractDataWithArgs' that could be run by an agent to execute extracts.
