Auto log-off when broswer/browser tab is closed directly
Hello,
We want to trigger log off activity when browser/tab is closed directly without clicking log off button. Or can we customize session timeout activity to call log-off activity?
How to detect if session has timed out?

Pega doesnt natively support log-off on browser tab close as the requestor session would still be active in Pega Server. However, when you close the whole browser session, (all active tabs other than Pega including incognito), you will be able to create a new browser session to login to Pega.
Also, its a bit challenging to differentiate between a tab close, browser close and forward/ back navigation.
You can customise the Session Timeout Activity and setup a AuthenticationTimeout custom activity to invalidate a session and redirect to log-off screen.
You can also use pxSessionTimer in your portal to configure a timeout but its not possible to trigger a log-off on closing a tab as the requestor session, at server level, will still be active through the browser tab is closed at client side.
